Maine Guardian ad Litem Reform

Other State GAL Reform Movements and our Partners

ABOUT US

The CT-GALREFORM Movement was founded by Peter Szymonik, a lifelong resident of the State of Connecticut.  Mr. Szymonik is an accomplished business technology executive and expert in legal spend management legal cost controls and legal operations. Mr. Szymonik is a proud and caring divorced father of two wonderful sons.

Mr. Szymonik's career has been tyified by his strong personal and professional ethics.  He has spent much of his career and life fighting for what is right, speaking out for those whose voices are not heard, and challenging what is unethical, unprofessional and just plain wrong.

People in position of authority and responsibility, must always act in a responsible and accountable manner.

Mr. Szymonik is working to unite other parents and families who have suffered very real harm and abuses caused by the inherent operational failures an corruption of the state's family court system.  He has reached out and been joined by dozens of parents, grandparents, attorneys, therapists, child welfare experts, business leaders, and legislators - people very concerned and working to promote positive changes in our state's ineffective, broken and completely dyfunctional Family Court and Guardian ad Litem system.

The current system simply does not work to help families and children of divorce or allows to quickly recover and rebuild their lives.  Instead, the court system is designed to prolong suffering and to uncessarily and financially and emotionall devastate families of divorce.
