The most important thing we need, is volunteers. People able to call, email and write legislators. People who can monitor the courts, judges, GALs. People who can document GAL abuses. People who may want to help organize and get the message out.

the CT-GALREFORM Movement started when a number of experiened an equally disgusted family law attorneys encouraged Mr. Szymonik to use his knowledge and expertise in legal operations to speak up and speak out.

Many ethical attorneys and judges recognize the horrendous impact the current system is having on children, parents and families, and also support this effort and the need for change.

Connecticut's Family Court system should not be about money and funding a divorce industry. This is not the role of government or our courts. THIS IS ALL ABOUT CHILDREN AND WHAT IS TRUELY IN THEIR BEST INTERESTS!

Our Family Courts must stop trampling civil and parental rights. Divorce and disputes do not automatically render parents incapable of parenting their children. It is no longer tolerable for the state courts to pretend that a GAL better equipped or able to represent children and their best interests - especially not when the court takes all of a parent's available assets - even up to and including draining children's college funds - in order to funnel money to GALs.​
