GAL Evaluation System

An independent review system of GAL performance, from a parents' perspective.  Parents who are forced by a court to tens of thousands of dollars for a GAL's service have an inherent right to expect the GAL to perform and have a meaningful recourse whenthey do not.

Judicial Education

Judges are paid by our state to make effective decisions.  It is simply unacceptable that judges are allowed to outsource their decision making authority to GALs who profit from prolonging cases as long as possible.  No representative of the court should in any way be influencing judges when they profit from rulings made by the bench.

GAL Legislative Reform

State legislators's offices have been bombarded with calls complaining and demand reform of our State Judiciary Committee.  New laws must be passed in order to modernize our courts and hold our juiiary to much higher standards of performance for our state, families, children and taxpaers.

Court Information

The family court and its operations are purposely structured to deny and make it as difficult and costly as possible to obtain information regarding the court and its operations.  Cameras and recording devices are banned from court, scheduling inormation hidden and court transcripts prohibitively expensive.

Expert Opinions

The reality is that lawyers are not experts formally trained in child welfare or what may be in a child's best interests.  We are looking for articles and opinions from independent child welfare experts on how they would effect positive reforms in the courts and for the actual best interests of children.

Social Media

GALs may be immune in the court of law, but they are not immune in the court of public opinion.  Unethical GALs need to be exposed and held accountable for their abuses of power.  Social media is being effectively used to share information an coordinate efforts within this state and many others which have the same problem.
